Success Attitude To Bring Luck

by | Mar 12, 2021 | 20 comments

Do you believe in luck ? Is it true that some people are more lucky than others …

These past few months have been crazily busy for me, having to handle a few unexpected and unplanned events. I was having a conversation with two separate individuals and we talked about how lucky I am to be retired, otherwise it would have been very stressful. My spontaneous reaction was .. yes, it could not have been more perfectly timed…

I do not believe I am more lucky than others. I could see the unplanned events as misfortune or unlucky but I choose to see them as an opportunity to do something meaningful and I feel lucky that they all happened at a perfect time when I could be of help.

My belief.. luck is about our attitude and we can all influence better luck in how we handle our life daily happenings.

Taking Charge

2020 has been exceptionally difficult for many fresh graduates to find jobs. A friend of mine just recently told me his son was very lucky to have landed himself a really good job, offered five months before his graduation.

So was he lucky… I have observed this young boy growing up and he was always taking charge of every moment of his life.. be it community work, internship, vacation jobs, holiday discovery, etc..

We can maximise our chance by taking charge of our life with the success attitude.

Staying Positive

Have you ever taken notice that positive people seem to be more lucky ? It is difficult when so many things seem to be going wrong and it just seems impossible to be lucky. But positive people will not allow difficult times or failure to bring them down and they will keep trying till their luck turns around.

Instead of wasting energy on expecting the bad, they used it in a more positive way to help cope with failures and never give up.

Calming One’s Mind

One who has a calmer mind tends to see things more clearly. That is why it is so important for you to clear your mind of the usual doubts and anxieties.

That is why it is so good to take up the practice of quiet sitting and go into a state of meditation. Try starting with a simple ten minutes of breathing exercise each day, it can go a long way.

Lyn, Yes, I believe in luck which is the positive feeling of oneself. There are people who have luck but, still feel he or she is unlucky.
Do you believe in perfect timing and be given the opportunity to move unexpectedly into another task. The new task has kept you busy, helping you to transit to another chapter of new learnings. The latter will help you later, in your future twists and turns of life. Enjoy!
Being intelligent, I believe you understand. Thanks for sharing.

Good to hear your perspective! Extremely insightful

For me , the rub of luck happens with hardwork & perseverance. The gin “luck” appears thereafter.

At the end of the day how we perceive our situation is dependent on our outlook.

Can’t agree more with your statement that positive people seem to be more lucky. It is really the state of mind that drives action and opportunity.

Thank you for sharing. Taking charge resonated with me. In good times and bad times, if we can take charge of the situation and not let the situation take charge of us, we are already ahead.

More often than not, we have to be deliberate in staying positive and happy ie. We have to hard wire them to our minds which has a tendency to dwell on negativity. ‍♂️

Well said Lyn, taking charge of your life, be positive so u’ve a luckier life. In fact, good luck is the result of the right attitude. Agree, we need to change our attitude and invite more luck into our life so we can be more successful and become happier. I also believe good luck comes from being good listener and surrounding yourself with other hardworking people.
