Last Thoughts…

by | Jul 1, 2022 | 34 comments

Life is like a candle light always flickering and you don’t know when it’s going to be blown out. And when it is blown out, what would have been your last thoughts ? I do not know what mine will be, but this really got me thinking deep…

It has been almost three months since my last article. Then, I was all enthusiastic and ready to share my around the world travel venture but as it turned out, life has other plans for me. The sudden passing of my beloved younger brother Benji on 10 Apr 2022 had completely changed my course of actions and life’s purpose.

Twenty four hours, that was all the time we had, after a long two years of waiting due to Covid International border travel restrictions. It was short, way too short, but it was also the most meaningful and happiest moment of time we had together, and for this I am deeply grateful. I am grateful I was there with him, I am grateful I was there for him, and I am grateful for the many unexplainable miracles that had happened leading to a very peaceful closure.

Last Thoughts

I will never know what Benji’s last thoughts were but I certainly know he had lived a very simple life, was always content and selfless with a big heart ! I can only guess that his last thoughts could have been filled with pure love and kindness for others above self, just like how he had lived his entire life. It had become part of his subconsciousness. He was very peaceful.

A New Beginning

Today is supposed to be a very auspicious day for me, it is my birthday ! I used to be very superstitious in that I would only talk about good things and not bad ones on this special day. So I actually should not be talking about death and last thoughts.

But life and death has taken a new meaning for me and I am no longer superstitious. I believe everything happens for a reason. Today is such a significant milestone of my life that I felt even more important for me to reflect on my life’s journey and all those who have a special place in my heart.

Birthday Is so special because Life Is so precious…Birthday signifies a new beginning which Is for one to live again in new ways that bring peace and wisdom to Life…

My Birthday Wishes

I am extremely grateful and thankful for all the blessings in my life and I wish the same for all.

  1. May all be well and happy always 😆.
  2. May your heart be always shining with joy, peace and light of wisdom 💖
  3. May each morning brings you a brand new day of hope 🙏.

And may I continue to learn, grow and evolve and may my last thoughts be filled with pure love and kindness for others above self 😇.

    Dear Shalyn

My heartfelt condolences on such a devastating loss. I too lost my elder sibling an yes there is the pain of loss. When my granpa lost his wife of 60+ years he would say “not lost but gone before “. Your article seems to echo that.

I’m discovering how special and humane your thoughts are.

Our interactions were few but memorable for me.

If you’d ever like to meet up and chat on the great positives of our lives and what more to do I’d be happy to.

Wish you a very happy birthday Shalyn!

    Kind regards

First, Happy Birthday and enjoy! I wish you good health, happiness, peace and fruitful years ahead. Please continue helping self and others.

i am not superstitious but, sometimes one is aware to act correctly for others who may be superstitious. No one mind feels the same.
It’s just the passage of life surely…birth and death in parallel.

May all your wishes be fulfilled and thank you for wishing us all well. A great gift to receive from a birthday girl.

A sad lost. Your brother Benji will always be remember. Not forgotten by his family.
    Much love, Springxx

        Lyn,

Very pleased to see you are back in sharing again after 3 months.

The 2 most important days in our life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.

Happy Birthday to you and glad you found the second important day in your life, which is your purpose.

Absolutely agree with you, everything happens for a reason. This is a good chance to reflect ourselves, take action to do things right, or even fix it if it is broken.

        Just sharing my thought here.
